A Deliciously Grand Wedding In China
Earlier last month I was honored to be asked to shoot a wedding in China in a place called Shenzhen,
I think it's the tech capital of the world basically or at least fast becoming the new silicon valley, there isn't anything you can't buy there and for a photographer it's heaven!
It was a most extraordinary place and an experience I am keen to revisit. People, food, sights, smells it was fantastic! A huge thank you to Lizzy and her family for looking after us so well, it was overwhelming!

The wedding was an extravagant affair and only the best was to be expected.
How lucky am I to have clients flying me out to such amazing places to cover their special day. Thank you guys!
The bride Lizzy had I think 6 different specially designed dresses and Brendan (or Golden Dragon his Chinese name) 2 different outfits all handmade.
It was by no means a small affair what the photos won't show you is the whole team of people behind the scenes. MC's Wedding planners, Camera crew, photographers (yes I wasn't the only one although everything you see is of course shot personally by me)
I think I counted 10 black Mercedes SUV cars as we pulled up to the Beach House at 9am. The armed guards saluted us as we navigated the manicured gardens up into the mountain.

The beach house was beautifully decorated in pink ribbons & balloons throughout.

A nice suprise for the guests was the Sunseeker Yacht to take us for a journey around the marina
We arrived at the St Regis in Shenzhen which is the tallest building in the city and possibly the most luxurious of hotels in the world
A Super Stylish Wedding at Cowley Manor, near Cheltenham
I was fortunate enough to shoot Rob and Katie's wedding at the prestigious Cowley Manor near Cheltenham.
It was a stunning affair, Katy looked the picturesque bride with a beautiful white gown and Rob was equally as striking in his Hugo Boss suit.
The weather gods were kind to us and gave us just enough warmth to be outside long to shoot some great shots.
Having not shot the venue before I can honestly say it's now one of my firm favourites. The staff were really kind and caring which really helps on the wedding day.
I felt so privileged to shoot this wedding partly because you can really see how much Rob and Katy love each other and to be a part of that day is an absolute honour.

I had the great pleasure of shooting Steve & Lydia's wedding on the 27th December 2013. It was a fab wedding with Lydia looking stunning and the groom looked very dashing. I covered the entire wedding from bridal preps through to the first dance and the cutting of the cake. The biggest challenge of the day I think would have been the 70mph winds at Princethorpe as we left the chapel, I could barely stand still.
The wind continued through the course of the day but I managed to finish the group shots before everyone got too cold and before the rain started. I do love a challenge on a wedding day and the weather certainly was on this day.
The bride and groom were so thrilled with the images they couldn't believe it and were overjoyed I managed to capture their day so well.

Hi guys, just testing our new blog feature of which I suppose I should write something , however as I sit here in my underpants surrounded by paperwork and cameras, I feel the mickey mouse ears on my head are just not cutting it, I also feel I probably shouldn't have mentioned the underpants bit, however I am the boss and I say it's fine. Perhaps what's not fine is the fact our 2 year old has just walked in wearing the same attire and said 'Silly Daddy'..........Ahh children you have to love them, I have always wanted children for 5 years, but my wife says we have to keep her forever, still, you can't have it all your own way;)
I'm joking of course, anyone thinking of A getting married, and B having children I thoroughly recommend it. Your life 'will' change drastically but also so will your outlook on life. I love my wife with my whole soul and our daughter equally, why? They really just make me a better bloke!
What about the bride on the horse? Well I had to put something about photography somewhere on the first blog! Plus who doesn't love a horse, or it could just be a massive dog?
